Vector in three-dimensional space MbVector3D

The MbVector3D class is declared in the mb_vector3d.h file.

The class supports basic vector operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication by a scalar, dot and cross products, normalization) and serves as a basic building block for describing directions, normals, and displacements in three-dimensional space.

A MbVector3D vector describes a displacement or a direction in three-dimensional space and is defined by three components x, y, z in a Cartesian coordinate system.

To denote vectors in three-dimensional space, we will use one or several lowercase Latin letters in boldface, and to combine vector components we will enclose them in square brackets, for example,

\begin{equation} \mathbf{v} = [x, y, z]. \end{equation}

A MbVector3D vector is not bound to any point in space and therefore has no method that translates it in space.
