Structure and Distinctive Features

C3D Toolkit consists of five modules shown in the figure: the C3D Modeler geometric kernel, the C3D Solver parametric kernel, the C3D Converter data exchange module, the C3D Vision visualization module, and C3D B-Shaper, which converts polygonal models into solid models with boundary representation (B-Rep).

The C3D Modeler geometric kernel constructs a geometric model, edits the model by modifying its internal data, builds triangulation, computes the model’s inertial properties, generates flat projections of the model, and detects collisions between model elements.

The C3D Solver parametric kernel maintains relationships between elements of a geometric model, which makes it possible to edit the model by synchronously modifying its elements, to construct similar models, and to simulate mechanisms.

C3D Converter provides data exchange of geometric models with other systems.

The C3D Vision visualization module provides high‑quality visualization of a geometric model and supports interaction with the user interface of engineering software.

C3D B-Shaper converts polygonal models into solid models with boundary representation.

Having a geometric kernel, a parametric kernel, and a converter in a single software product is one of the distinctive features of C3D Toolkit.
