C3D Toolkit supports a range of operating systems. As the number of our Linux versions was growing, we needed to optimize the software product build process. We used to deliver individual C3D Toolkit versions for each operating system. It was a real challenge to build, test, and maintain all of them.
At C3Days 2024, we shared our plans to unify the builds. Today, we are happy to say that we have done it! Now, we offer our customers a single Linux installation kit that replaces 5 individual kits for Ubuntu, Scientific Linux, Debian, and Astra Linux.
This has significantly accelerated the product releases and made it much simpler for the user to choose the right build. An all-in-one Linux GLIBC 2.17 package is now available to replace individual builds for each Linux distribution.
Note that we still support all the above Linux distributions. We have unified the C3D Modeler, C3D Solver, C3D Converter, C3D B-Shaper, and C3D PolyShaper builds.
The new all-in-one installation kit is already available to download. To get a trial version, please submit the evaluation form.
