C3D Toolkit for AEC and BIM Applications

The modules in C3D Toolkit allow you to develop multi-purpose 3D applications for Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems.

C3D Modeler module is a powerful tool for enabling 3D modeling in architectural, structural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) design systems. The module’s capabilities allow your customers to construct curves and surfaces of nearly any shape and complexity. Users can then enhance geometric objects by specifying connections between them, including relative positions and dimensions; these are maintained by the C3D Solver module.

Certain objects in building designs are usually created in third-party programs, CAD systems in particular, or else downloaded from online product catalogs. You can ensure that they are imported correctly into your BIM application with our C3D Converter module. This lets users quickly fill their building designs with furnishings and other 3D models. C3D Vision module easily generates visualizations of complex 3D models with large numbers of components.

All of the modules of the C3D Toolkit are integrated as a whole, but can also be licensed for stand-alone use.

Full-featured 2D and 3D Modeling

Architectural, structural, and MEP designs require software capable of creating curves, surfaces, and many other kinds of 2D and 3D bodies, as well as to calculate the results of Boolean operations with high speed and accuracy. The geometric kernel of our C3D Modeler does all of this perfectly.

High Performance

A key performance indicator of BIM applications is the speed at which they construct 3D models, and that depends on software designed to perform calculations quickly. To maximize the performance of your applications, many of the sophisticated algorithms in C3D Toolkit operate in parallel. Projections are generated and mass inertia properties are calculated at quick speeds and with high accuracy.

Importing External 3D Models

When modeling detailed 3D models of buildings, users often need to add interior elements for better looks and to make accurate cost estimations. The best way to do this is to download models from online libraries of standard elements and manufacturer product catalogs. Thanks to C3D Converter, users are able to import 3D models from a variety of sources and formats, such as STL, IGES, STEP, SAT, and so on.
