The :blue:`MbAssembly` class is declared in the *assembly.h* file.

The :blue:`MbAssembly` assembly unit, or assembly, is derived from the
:blue:`MbItem` class and is described by
a set of geometric model objects
std::vector< :blue:`MbItem` * > **assemblyItems**.

An assembly is a set of geometric model objects
that can be manipulated as a single object.

An assembly unit is shown in Fig. 1.

An assembly unit may contain other assembly units as
its objects, that is, it may have a tree-like structure.
